Our Story
Our primary success over the last five years has been in developing community trust. We are known for our dedication to equitable access to opportunity, whether through physical or digital space. In order to achieve our long term goals our all-volunteer efforts must find sustainable material support. We can’t wait to have funds to grow a cohort of organizer-educators, hiring community members most often left out of land use discussions. Our teach-ins and quarterly workshops help connect people in King County to each other. These events build skills for community members to have a louder voice during civic engagement processes.
We have appeared on television, on the radio, presented at national conferences and written dozens of op eds to help educate people about the barriers to affordable, climate friendly and inclusive cities.
Thanks to our fiscal sponsor Angels for Angels we were able to accept tax deductible donations for our Community Education work and are now moving to dissolve our nonprofit and move back into an all volunteer organizing collective by January 2023.
